Zentrum für minimal invasive Chirurgie

Univ. Prof. Dr. Selman Uranüs

Laparoscopic surgery, also known as keyhole surgery, is a special discipline within the field of minimally invasive surgery, which was introduced in the late 1980s. Because of its many advantages, laparoscopic surgery is now used routinely for many surgical indications and has replaced old, established procedures of conventional or open surgery. Minimally invasive surgery allows a carefully targeted rocedure that does minimal damage to the tissue and so allows prompt postoperative recovery, a minimum of discomfort and small, inconspicuous scars.

To this end, we offer you an experienced, highly qualified team. Thanks to ever smaller mini instruments, the most modern technology, a high level of information based on scientific studies and, finally, our many years’ experience, you are in the best of hands with us.

“My goal in surgery is to minimize tissue damage and physical stress. Laparoscopy allows maximum success with a minimum of openings and only tiny scars”
